Buying a New or Used Forklift

So you’ve decided to get a new forklift! That is, you've decided you need an additional forklift, but don't know whether buying a used forklift or new one is better.
Let's consider the matter briefly.
New will cost more than a used forklift, but you'll most probably get a warranty and service guarantee with new equipment.. You're also probably getting up-to-date equipment, which may be something you need. Also, it's easier to lease new equipment if you're not thinking of purchasing.
Now what about getting a used forklift truck?
Well, the big benefit is that it will cost far less than a new forklift. Online services (like ebay) and construction equipment websites enable you to search across the US to find good deals and cut the costs even further than what was possible years ago just because the internet provides more information, which means a more competitive environment.
But the old rule applies, Caveat Emptor BUYER BEWARE.
The best thing to do with an expensive pruchase decision if figure out how much saving in time and labor it will provide, and then make the decision based on those figures. Once you have those figures, then you can determine what you afford ... whether it's a new or used forklift.
